Okay, so if your ipod Touch isn’t syncing properly with iCal and your calendars aren’t showing up in iTunes, here’s what to do:
1. Go to iCal and Backup your calendars (under ‘file’)
2. Quit iCal and iTunes
3. Delete the following files if they exist:
~\library\preferences\com.apple.iCal.AlarmScheduler.plist
~\library\preferences\com.apple.iCal.helper.plist
~\library\preferences\com.apple.iCal.plist
4. Delete the entire contents of
~\library\application support\iCal
5. Open iCal and restore your calendars (under ‘file’)
In my case this made everything work properly.

Today I updated the installer.app on my iPod Touch. This was actually an interesting process. I still had the app running and tried to reload the list of apps, which gave no results. After going back to the main screen and starting it again it gave me an automatic update. Nice!
So the newest application was an addition to the iPod Touch calendar. Now I can add events to the calendar. Nice again!
Starting to be a little happier with this. I also installed the NES emulator, but it needs roms. Any suggestions?
Sad update: items you add on the Touch do not get synced back right now

To all aspiring iPod Touch Jailbreakers out there: there’s really no rush. I installed that Thing, only to find out the number of available apps is quite limited and barely useful. I’ll keep you posted.

iPhone and iPod touch v1.1.1 get instant jailbreak + installer: “We could hardly believe it ourselves, but the open source community has parlayed that game-changing v1.1.1 TIFF exploit / file system hack into a full-on ready to rumble instant installer for AppTapp on the iPhone and iPod touch. Check out TUAW for the steps and further details, but we tried it on our v1.1.1 touch and it worked like a damn charm. In fact, we think this is finally what’s going to get us to upgrade that virgin 1.0.2 iPhone we’ve been using. Fingers crossed.”
